WHY HERE?

Roswell says relocating Station 27 is intended to improve emergency-response coverage in East Roswell.

WHAT’S PLANNED?

About 10,500 square feet with drive-through bays, offices, living quarters, a dayroom and kitchen, plus a targeted alerting system designed to reduce stress on firefighters.

THE PROPERTY BACKSTORY

Roswell previously said it would retain about 2.5 acres of the 1340 Woodstock Road property for the new station while pursuing redevelopment of the remaining land.

Important: that property transaction and tonight’s fire-station construction authorization are separate steps.
