What has actually happened
Fulton County Schools says its Board moved forward with a capacity and utilization review for Geographic Region C, the part of the district north of the Chattahoochee River. The district says the process is being driven by declining enrollment and underused school facilities.
The district’s current Region C process focuses on elementary and middle school attendance zones. It can evaluate boundary adjustments and potential school consolidations or closures as possible ways to better align enrollment with available capacity.
